Cricket is great if you're into things like wasted youth, failed relationships, sun damage and broken dreams.
The Grade Cricketer started life as a Twitter account about a fictional, washed-up, third-grade Australian cricketer — the everyman who hated the game he loved. It quickly spilled out into books, sold-out live shows, and the weekly podcast you're probably here for.
Pez & Higgos
Sam "Pez" Perry and Ian Higgins are the voices behind TGC. Two friends who play (or played) grade cricket in Sydney, then started writing about how completely deranged a cricket-obsessed adult life can be. They've since written best-selling books, sold out the Sydney Opera House, and somehow turned an ironic joke account into a full-time job.
What you'll hear
Every week, news and views from the world of cricket: the Test series, the T20 leagues, the IPL, the women's game, club cricket, and the dressing-room dynamics that sit underneath all of it. Plus interviews — Pat Cummins, Greg Chappell, Sophie Molineux, Finn Allen, Christian Welch, Kumail Nanjiani — conversations with the people who actually live it.
